White Tales Lodge is owned by Summer’s parents, Jonah and Renee White, and is one of the lodging options available to our wedding guests. We’re so happy to be able to offer a place for some of our friends and family to stay nearby and enjoy the entire wedding weekend with us!
As a special gift to our guests, all rooms at White Tales Lodge are completely free of charge. Because lodging is complimentary and space is limited, rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to reserve your space early if you would like to stay at the Lodge.
The Lodge offers a master suite, which is accessible by a few stairs, as well as several upstairs bunk-style rooms. The upstairs rooms feature twin-size bunk beds and vary in size, with anywhere from 1 to 5 bunk beds per room. Because these are shared-style accommodations, we encourage guests to keep the sleeping arrangements and bedding options in mind when choosing a room.
Please note that White Tales Lodge does require the use of stairs. Most of the bedrooms are located upstairs, while the kitchen, showers, and bathroom stalls are located in the basement. Because of the layout of the Lodge, we do not recommend this lodging option for guests who have difficulty navigating stairs.
For room reservations, questions about bedding or accommodations, or anything related to Mount Hope, please contact Summer’s mom, Renee White, directly at (618) 535-9804. She will be happy to answer any questions and help determine which accommodations will work best for you.
We can’t wait to celebrate with everyone and have so many of our favorite people together for such a special weekend! 🤍

Traveling from St. Peters & St. Charles, Missouri
Guests traveling from St. Peters, St. Charles, or the surrounding St. Louis area may enjoy a scenic drive to Mount Hope Hilltop Venue by taking the Golden Eagle Ferry across the Mississippi River. The ferry provides one of the quickest and most beautiful routes into Calhoun County and is just a short drive from Highway 94 in St. Charles County.
💡 Local Tip:
If your GPS doesn't automatically route you over the Golden Eagle Ferry, simply enter "Golden Eagle Ferry, Golden Eagle, IL" as a stop before your final destination. This will guide you to the ferry crossing and then on to Mount Hope Hilltop Venue.
Please Note: The Golden Eagle Ferry is a toll ferry and cash is the only form of payment accepted.
If you plan to return home using the ferry, you can purchase a round-trip pass when you cross the first time. A round-trip fare is less than $20.00.
When you purchase a round-trip pass, the ferry attendant will give you a return pass card. Please keep this card in a safe place, as you'll need to hand it to the attendant for your return crossing instead of paying a second time.
Please remember: Lost return pass cards cannot be replaced, and the ferry does not issue refunds, so be sure to store your pass somewhere secure until your trip home.
